15 March 2025, Budapest: on its 3rd birthday, on the 15th of March, the museum organised an open day with professional programmes, workshops, lectures and various activities for children. To coincide with the birthday, the institution's Hungarian-language virtual tour guide debuted on that very day, making exploring the exhibition even more enjoyable and informative.
The audioguide is available on the Money Museum app, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the exhibition material via their own phone and headphones. The tour can be guided in three different ways: thematic, time-based and free roam. The first two guide the visitor through the museum's recommended exhibits, while the third version allows visitors to start the corresponding audio material next to a given installation by means of a QR code. For those who prefer a more personalised exchange of information, the museum's educators will continue to be available to visitors and school groups on request.
For those who cannot visit the museum, financial education is also available outside of the museum’s walls. The ‘Suitcase Museum’ programme brings interactive financial education to schools, the ‘Pocket Museum’ tells pre-school children about the world of money, while the ‘Senior Programme’, launched this year, helps older people to find their way around money.
