We had another amazing weekend at the Money Museum! During the Night of Museums, we celebrated the 200th birthday of Mór Jókai and the 700th anniversary of the gold forint. Attila André Elekes gave us a guided tour of the temporary exhibition, during which we discovered the close relationship between postage stamps and banknotes. We also learnt about the currency of the 1848–49 Revolution, as well as the circumstances surrounding the creation of the new forint. Dalma Bódai gave an interesting presentation. We learnt about the lives of noblewomen who were often ruined by accusations of witchcraft.
