On 7 May, we commemorated the anniversary of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank’s gold reserves being put under secure protection 80 years ago. On the occasion of the anniversary, we screened Attila Szász's award-winning documentary film entitled: “The Legend of the Gold Train” at the Money Museum. The screening was preceded by a short introductory talk in which we recalled the historical background of the era and the special role of the Gold Train.
