Special programs await families from the very beginning of the spring camp season at the Zánka location of the Erzsébet Camps. The Hungarian Money Museum and Visitor Centre will be present at the camp on several occasions until April 9, bringing exciting chapters of Hungarian monetary history closer to participants through interactive and creative activities.
The program focuses on the iconic means of payment from the 1848–49 Revolution and War of Independence. Participants can learn about the history of the Kossuth banknotes and gain insight into the world of currencies issued in exile.
In addition to gaining knowledge, there is also an opportunity for creative expression. Families can design their own Kossuth banknotes and reinterpret exile currencies using montage techniques. They can take their unique banknote designs home as souvenirs.
We are delighted to once again collaborate this year with the Erzsébet Foundation, the organizer of the Erzsébet Camps, and that our activities can contribute to making the camp experience truly unforgettable.
