The exhibition of the Money Museum has been expanded with new, special content. Our visitors can now also see a display cabinet that presents the memorabilia of Frigyes Tarnay.
Frigyes Tarnay, the former Chief Inspector of the Hungarian National Bank, played a key role in the history of the MNB's Gold Train. During World War II, he participated in securing the country's gold reserves, thereby contributing to the success of an extremely important rescue operation.
The presented objects were donated to the museum by Frigyes Tarnay's family, for which we hereby express our gratitude.
The new display cabinet can now be viewed in the exhibition, we welcome all interested parties.
