The Money Museum has received another accolade on the international stage. On 5 June, our travelling financial education programme, the Suitcase Museum, won the Grand Prize in the New Product/Service Launch category at the Industry Eagles Awards gala in London.
The award recognises outstanding achievements and innovations in various industries around the world, including education. The 14-member jury, consisting of experts from leading international companies such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft, honours organisations that have had a significant impact in their respective fields.
The Money Museum's educational programme achieved an impressive score of 98 out of 100 in the New Product/Service category. The Travelling Museum programme, which lasts 45 minutes, provides elementary and high school students who are unable to visit the museum in person with general financial knowledge. The lesson aligns with the economic and financial literacy section of the National Curriculum for Civic Education, which aims to foster consumer and financial awareness.
Since its launch, the Travelling Museum has reached over 45,000 students. The programme primarily reaches out to students from disadvantaged communities.
The Money Museum has previously won the DASA Grand Prize from the European Museum Academy in recognition of its commitment to museum education. Last month, it was named Museum of the Year by the Hungarian Museum Association.
